ABOUT THE FOUNDATION

Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation is the largest foundation in Canada dedicated to supporting childhood disability.  Established in 1996 to inspire community interest and raise funds in support of Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, we are committed to creating a world of possibilities for children and youth with disabilities.  Our staff team of 20 works collaboratively with our Hospital colleagues, our Board, and our many dedicated and passionate volunteers.

Committed to helping change the world for kids with disabilities, the Foundation publicly launched the $80 million No Limits Campaign for Childhood Disability in 2010 and to date has raised almost $70 million.  With priorities targeted to enabling the Hospital in recruiting top talent, leading in collaborative research, supporting family leadership and respite, arts, music and transition programs, and investing in the education of future health professionals, the goal of the campaign is to ensure that there are always funds available to do more for more children and youth with disabilities.

Our endowment has grown to $88 million during the campaign and its annual income contributes to the funding required for the Hospital’s critical programs and research.

Thanks to our generous donors, $9.1 million was raised last year and our Foundation granted $7.3 million to the Hospital in support of teaching and learning, client-and family-centred care, research, equipment, and client and community resources.  These funds help kids with disabilities receive the best care possible while accessing innovative technologies and stimulating quality of life programs to help them realize their unlimited potential.
