Description

Plans, tracks and manages projects across all areas of Enterprise Data Security. Ensures project deliverables adhere to Paychex and Enterprise Data Security standards, while meeting the overall project objectives. Coordinates Enterprise Data Security resources within the time, cost and quality estimates of the project.

  • Act as the single point of contact between the Project Manager assigned by the Program Office and Enterprise Data Security in order to streamline communications and where appropriate reduce the size of core project teams.
  • Facilitates decisions regarding Enterprise Data Security solutions by avoiding/resolving conflicts between departmental resources.
  • Gathers and analyzes facts to support sound decisions and escalates any conflicts for a timely resolution.
  • Supports the successful delivery of project milestones by partnering with Project Managers and Project Champions to minimize the difficulty in navigating the Project and System Development Lifecycle processes.
  • Plans, tracks and manages project work through the creation of Enterprise Data Security specific Project Plans, developed through partnerships with Project Managers.
  • Overcomes resource restrictions that threaten the success of Enterprise Data Security project plans and identifies and executes corrective actions to avoid impacts on quality, time or cost.
  • Partners closely with Project Managers, Project Champions, Operations team members and Functional Management teams for project status, scope change, issues, risks, assumptions and constraints.
  • Measures and reports project status and results using tracking tools to identify resource constraints, issues and over-runs, which impact the project deliverables.
  • Actively participates in the creation and on-going maintenance of the project plan through the project lifecycle.
 
Position Requirements
  • BA/BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecom or Networking infrastructure design
  • 5 to 7 years experience in an IT infrastructure environment. Candidate must have working knowledge of application development, security controls (Technical, Managerial and Operational), project lifecycle and Information Technology Service Management.
  • Must have understanding of business strategies, priorities, objectives and the role IT plays in delivering and supporting business objectives along with the ability to plan, track and manage complex and technical project efforts.
  • Candidate should have the ability to influence and lead a variety of team members to a common goal.
