What We Are Looking For

NCU is currently seeking a dynamic individual to become part of our Registrar team as a Student Record Analyst.

This position is responsible for the daily activities related to the Office of the Registrar and admissions and evaluation department. This position is primarily responsible for reviewing applications and credentials submitted for admission to university programs and evaluating transcripts and other academic documents for transfer credit.  This position also helps ensure compliance to academic regulations and university program requirements leading up to degree conferral.

 
Position Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Uses skill and expertise in the examination of student applications to determine eligibility for admission and transferability of course credits
  • Researches various databases and sources of information to assist in evaluation of accreditation, validity of documentation and applicability of course work
  • Maintains evaluation worksheets for students and ensures changes in transfer credit applicability are accurately reflected in the student record
  • Creates initial degree plan to ensure student’s academic roadmap is aligned to degree program requirements
  • Responds and helps to advise students and internal constituencies on academic and program policy
  • Maintains accurate student records; appropriately journals all communication
  • Liaises with dean’s offices on transfer and program specific policies
  • Ensures compliance with administrative policies and procedures
  • Processes and enters data into the COMPASS or Roadrunner system
  • Establishes and maintains students’ academic files, ensuring all pertinent application data and academic history is accurately reflected in the student’s record
  • Works directly with enrollment services team to support enrollment activities and goals
  • Performs clerical functions incidental to office activities: sends and receives e-mail, and initiates and receives phone calls; performs data entry; and files student records
  • Communicates admissions decision to applicants by processing acceptance letter and enrollment agreement
  • Participates in ongoing department projects, as needed

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Skill in operating equipment, such as personal computer, fax, copier, phone system
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Ability to use and facilitate online communication using email and/or other technology-based communication media
  • Ability to solve complex problems and create win-win situations
  • Ability to work well in teams
  • Knowledge of University policies and procedures
  • Ability to prioritize workflow
  • Ability to prepare letters, reports and business correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Students, Faculty and Employees

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited university and one (1) year experience in admissions or registrar’s office, academic advising or student services is preferred
  • Experience working with academic credentials and university policy is preferred
  • Excellent time management skills and attention to detai
  • Effective interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • All skills, abilities and education will be considered for minimum qualifications
