Share Email Opening Title Systems Administrator  EOE Statement Ascentis is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.   Description Ascentis is looking for a self-starter to join to the IT Team.  This position will perform Application Support, Systems Administration duties, data center and some light facility management.  Duties include, but are not limited to configuring application environments and providing integration support between the products. The candidate will work closely with Client Support and Clients.  Job Responsibilities: Application Support Take ownership of deployment and manage integration between different products Respond to trouble tickets within published timeframes Ensure all issues are tracked, escalated and communicated Create client environments including user accounts Assist clients with application installation and troubleshooting Research technical problems and work with support representatives to troubleshoot Facility and data center responsibilities Occasional offsite trip to Sacramento Data Center to manage tape backups, server racking, cabling, etc.   Position Requirements Ascentis products are implemented on a wide variety of platforms including Solaris (UNIX), Linux and Windows.  This position will be mainly focused on UNIX/Linux plaforms, so we're looking for someone who has working knowledge of these operating systems.  If you've used a UNIX command-line you're half way there. Experience with UNIX/Linux and comfortable using the command line Familiar with SQL, ability to execute queries.  (And helpful if you know your way around database tables) Familiar with shell-scripting Excellent verbal and written communication skills Good attention to detail Good analytical skills Prior experience with Atlassian products (JIRA, JIRA Service Desk, Confluence) a plus but not required     Location Roseville   About the Organization The Ascentis mission is to create innovative products that are easy to use for the often under-served mid-market that cover the full Human Capital Management (HCM) suite.
