Description

We are currently seeking a Mid Level Geotechnical Engineer for our Georgetown, DE office. Project Geotechnical Engineers require minimum of 5 years of experience with geotechnical explorations and construction observation and testing related to the following areas:

  • Earthwork, foundation, and construction materials observation and testing
  • Subsurface investigations including test borings, cone penetration testing, and test pits, reviewing exploration logs, lab results, and plans
  • Calculations of bearing capacity, settlement, earth pressures, pavement section design, and slope stability
  • Preparation of geotechnical reports


Candidates are expected to have or develop advanced business skills including developing new clients and supporting growth of the company. This is an excellent opportunity to perform work on wide variety of challenging projects and develop advanced technical and business skills. Position Requirements
  • BS Degree in civil engineering, with geotechnical concentration, PE required
  • MS Degree in geotechnical engineering preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in geotechnical explorations and construction observations and testing servies
    • Extensive field experience and ability to manage/trouble shoot shoils related issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • CADD experience preferred
