TITLE:                        Operations Assistant

DEPARTMENT:        Operations

REPORTS TO:          Warehouse Manager

Status:                        Hourly Non-Exempt

SCOPE OF POSITION:

This position is an operations assistant role with responsibility for supporting various distribution center operational functions.  Position will have reporting and communication responsibilities related to quality, reliability and productivity to support supervision in daily operational functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other Duties May Be Assigned):

  1. Complete required trailer temperature verifications within specific duration of time throughout the shift.
  2. Record building temperature verifications once per shift.
  3. Perform daily code date verifications of specified items in the cooler.
  4. Assist in communication of key labor points with supervision during the shift.
  5. Identification, proper recording, and distribution of restocking forms to stock dropper.
  6. Assistance in distribution, follow up of completion, and auditing of specials and add-ons.
  7. Auditing of “hot routes” in the absence of auditors.
  8. Conduct Quality inspections of cart builds and communicate to supervision required rebuilds.
  9. Verification of returned product for quality inspection.
  10. Return verified quality product back to stock in a timely manner.
  11. Assist in proper load plan diagraming and route completion verification.
  12. Verify that outbound trailers have been swept clean prior to loading.
  13. Verify markings of cases thrown on carts to ensure proper delivery.
  14. Verify proper load diagram completion in addition to verification of bulk cokes and specials.
  15. Assist in organizing carts staged in cold temperature zone.
  16. Any additional assignments directed by the shift supervisor or warehouse manager.

Physical requirements include:

  • Frequent standing, walking, talking and hearing; use of hands to finger, handle or feel; climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling; reaching with hands and arms. Frequent operation of MHE equipment, primarily the operation of a pallet jack.
