Description

The Application Specialist - Inside Sales, reporting to the Sales Manager - East Region, will provide pump application and quotation support for our company’s level of process pumps and compressors to our customers mainly for the Industrial market.

 

Job Description:

 

  • Work with the Sales Manager East Region and the Technical Services Group in reviewing applicable RFQ’s, applying related products and preparing detailed quotations for standard units and packaged systems.
  • Provide direct day-to-day communication with both of the above types of customers.
  • Work directly with represented manufacturers to obtain technical information, project pricing and special requirements.
  • Assist in preparing proper post-order receipt internal communication including sales order work sheets, draft purchase orders, technical submittal packages and manuals.
  • Follow company procedures as it relates to triage, strategy. Following demonstrated process steps, including but not limited to P21, quote preparation and submittals, clarifications and technical and commercial clarifications.
  • Assist in the preparation of various market and quotation activity reports, and sales forecasts to the Company and Represented Manufacturers.

 

 
Position Requirements

Absolutely Must Have:

 

  • Demonstrated Customer Service experience and skills (5 or more year’s experience).
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills required for technical documents review and comment.
  • Better than average computer skills, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Superior organizational skills - a self-starter who can work independently and as part of a busy team.
  • Demonstrated application and technical knowledge with a wide range of industrial pumping equipment (5 or more year’s experience).
  • Post-secondary technical education, CET or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred.
  • Fluently bilingual in both English and French is required.
  • Ability to work within a demanding schedule with short deadlines and produce accurate results.
