Summary Verifies, compiles, and types application information for mortgage loans by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Reviews residential loan application file to verify that application data is complete and meets establishment standards, including type and amount of mortgage, borrower assets, liabilities, and length of employment. Review and correct data within LOS to accurately reflect loan terms and costs. Submits loan data through LOS to Automated Underwriting System (AUS) to determine likelihood of loan acceptability and approval. Reconciles credit information provided by borrower(s) with credit report(s). Calls borrower(s) to discuss or confirm accuracy of credit report information. Calls or writes employer to verify accuracy of information provided by borrower(s). Review and correct all data within LOS relating to credit, debts, income and assets based on verified documentation. Records data on status of loan documents needed. Informs supervisor of discrepancies in title. Submits mortgage loan application file for underwriting approval. Requests and gathers conditions requiring review prior to closing, and submits for underwriting approval. Communicates loan approval. Gathers all necessary hazard insurance information and assists borrower in clearing title exception issues. Other duties may be assigned.
