Job Title:  Take on Hate (TOH) Campaign Manager

Employment Status: Part-Time      

Job Summary: Under general supervision, using skills and knowledge gained through training and experience to manage all activities and strategies associated with the campaign to “Take on Hate”. This position is responsible for managing the campaign to “Take On Hate”, both locally and nationally as well as ensuring that all campaign goals are met. This position will also oversee the field organizers that work directly for the campaign.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the implementation of the TOH campaign, ensuring that all campaign goals are met.
  • Manage TOH field staff and members to ensure that local and national goals are being met.  Provide coaching to field staff and members.
  • Maintain confidentiality  when handling sensitive information.
  • Represent TOH in meetings, at presentations with stakeholder & etc.
  • Work with communications team to meet campaign communication goals.
  • Draft communications when necessary.
  • Plan and oversee campaign events.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders to further campaign goals.
  • Create and implement campaign plans that are measureable and comprehensive.
  • Assist in fundraising as appropriate.
  • Understand the budget for the campaign and plan activities that stay within the budget.
  • Capable of interpreting various types of information, write reports, create presentations and present information to a diverse group of people.
  • May assist with grant writing and meeting with potential donors.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
 
Position Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of:

  • Advocacy campaigns and grassroots organizing

Skills In:

  • Strong oral and written communication
  • Highly organized

Ability to:

  • Must be passionate about the issues of the campaign
  • Motivate others

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum Degree Required:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Required Disciplines:
    • English, Public Policy, Public Administration, Political Science, or a related field.

  • Must have (2 years) experience managing campaigns

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Licenses/Certifications Required at Date of Hire:
    • None

Working Conditions:

Hours:            Normal business hours.  May need to work outside of normal business hours, including some nights and weekends.

Travel Required: Some local and national travel may be required.

Working Environment:         Climate controlled office environment.
