REQUIREMENTS OF WORK Graduation from a college or university with an Associates degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology or closely related field; two years experience in providing programs for youth; or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the following knowledge, abilities and skills: Considerable knowledge of youth service programs; desire to motivate and participate in youth activities in a variety of settings Knowledge of social group behavior in community center that includes a senior center and teen center Ability to relate to diverse population groups. Ability to use personal computer and standard office software. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to work 2nd shift position Ability to perform work consistent with the town’s goals of establishing and maintaining quality community services through cost-effective, customer-friendly service delivery. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, co-workers, division coordinators, department director, other town departments/schools, businesses, other human services agencies and the general public. NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Possess a valid Connecticut Motor Vehicle Operator’s License.
