Account Manager

DistributorCentral (an e-commerce division of TradeNet Publishing) is the #1 online software in the Promotional Products industry and we are currently seeking an experienced sales and support professional. The selected candidate will serve as a liaison between customers and our internal marketing, sales, and development teams. This person will provide support to our customers and assist with marketing and sales efforts in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Generate new business leads to add new customers to existing client base and by growing current customers' revenue with additional "Add On" products.
    • Leverage network to establish a business relationship with prospective customers.
    • Use provided customer lists and employ cold and warm-calling tactics to establish
  • Retain current customers by providing ongoing support for the customer relationships you have established.
  • Generate additional business from customers as their needs develop.
  • Intervene and escalate urgent issues when necessary.
  • Travel to client site locations to discuss software solutions, sales opportunity and demonstrate product features.
  • Travel to industry tradeshows and other events.
  • Assist customers with their updates and regular maintenance of product data.
Position Requirements

Education, Experience, and Skill Required:

  • Bachelor's degree a plus
  • One or two years account management experience and/or training or equivalent
  • Demonstrated strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to listen to the customer and articulate technical solutions in a concise and polished manner to a diverse audience.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, self-motivated with high level of passion, energy, persistence and initiative, driven by both financial reward and the satisfaction of helping others.
  • Proactive, committed, has high standards, achievement oriented.
  • Understands customer’s wants to they can create need and sell on value.
  • Computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet experience.
  • Understands the complete sales cycle (from prospecting to closing).
