Description

The Director of Financial Aid/Associate Director of Admission is a member of the admission team who manages all aspects of the financial aid budget.  He/she supervises the admission office processes and staff charged with calculating grants and explaining George School’s financial aid programs and application procedures to families and referring programs.  He/she works closely with the Director of Admission & Enrollment Management so that the enrollment goals are coordinated with the allocation of financial aid.

The Director of Financial Aid/Associate Director of Admission is a member of the team that designs and executes the admission and enrollment processes at George School.  He/ she assists families and their prospective George School student through the ongoing process that begins with the family’s first contact with GS through and until the admission decision and ultimate enrollment.  This includes travel and representation at admission fairs, interviews with students and their families, phone conversations and written correspondence.
 

 
Position Requirements
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Admission and financial aid experience required. Independent school and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience with School and Student Services by NAIS preferred
  • Excellent public speaking, telephone and writing skills.
  • Commitment to the traditions and philosophy of a Quaker educational community and a working style consistent with Quaker values.
  • Comfortable working in and with diverse student and adult populations.
  • Proficient with Mac or PC systems: Word, Excel and database management.
  • Experience with FilemakerPro preferred
  • Willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, willing to work beyond traditional office hours, including evening and weekend events.
