Share Email Opening Title Assistant Vice President, Retail Banking  Description This position is responsible for overall sales production in the Financial Centers. In addition, the position is responsible for managing the Financial Center Managers and ultimately responsible for the development and performance of employees assigned. This individual assists assigned Financial Center Managers in hiring employees. Nature and Scope This position reports to the Vice President, Retail Banking.  This position interacts with other departments and handles any personnel situations involving assigned staff.  This position leads the assigned financial center management team in delivery and service to increase production numbers and serve the membership through hands-on management and coaching. The position will travel to assigned locations and may sometimes require overnight stays. Specific Accountabilities To provide proper supervision and development of assigned staff members Participate in joint-call efforts with Financial Center Manager and/or Member Development to SEGs and prospects. Work closely with Retail Operations Manager to ensure operational soundness of financial centers. Identify areas or opportunity or process improvement Recommend development of new products, services or tools to enhance the teammate and/or member experience Responsible for hiring employees, directing work assignments, performance reviews, rewarding and recommending appropriate Corrective Action for employees. Address complaints and compliments for staff and members. Recommend product or service enhancements to improve member satisfaction and sales potential. Evaluate policies and procedures and send suggested changes to Retail Operations Manager Make recommendations, work on projects and meet deadlines as assigned by the VP Retail Banking. Be responsible for assigned mentor in adding support and training to new hires through the Contact Center. Actively participate in community events, board affiliation(s), committees as well as other Credit Union sponsored events.               Position Requirements Education and Experience Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience Five or more years retail lending experience Five or more years branch management experience.
