We're looking for individuals with 5+ years of experience, good test automation skills and exposure to programming languages (Java/C++ a plus.) You'll be responsible for testing the next generation of Ascentis HCM products. You're also an individual with an entrepreneurial spirit and possess an intellectual curiosity to solve hard problems.   Create and execute test strategies, test plans and test cases for various products, systems and platforms. Participate in the software design process. Create clear and concise defect reports. Participate in code reviews and technical quality standards within the project team. Stay abreast of industry test tools and best testing practices while making significant contributions to the development and deployment of various project releases. Understand and practice QA functions in an agile development cycle using Scrum process. Conduct early project scoping and collaborate with cross-functional teams in identifying early testability goals. Provide mentorship and training to junior QA engineers.   Position Requirements Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field; equivalent work experience considered 5+ years test experience including recent Automation work (Selenium preferred) Windows and UNIX/Linux environment understanding; able to create/install/configure test environments SQL/NoSQL database experience a plus Previous experience with Agile (scrum) process; JIRA and GreenHopper experience/exposure also a plus Able to exercise good judgment of priority based on customer impact Adaptable to new technologies Strong interpersonal skills so as to be able to work in a team oriented environment   Location San Mateo   About the Organization The Ascentis mission is to create innovative products that are easy to use for the often under-served mid-market that cover the full Human Capital Management (HCM) suite.
