Description

Duties/Responsibilities

  •  Maintain safety certifications and training in accordance with HSE standards
  •  Instruct students on the various training programs offered
  •  Assist with developing course material and information (manuals, reference materials,
  •  lesson plans, presentations and promotional packages) as required
  •  Complete and submit appropriate course documentation accurately and efficiently
  •  Ensure that an adequate supply of course material is available
  •  Assist Station Manager as requested

 

 
Position Requirements
  •  Three years of oil field experience with previous construction and safety experience
  •  Fall protection and Confined Space Entry and Monitoring. Any other relevant instructor certifications are an asset as well
  •  Willingness to deliver programs in other HSE training facilities, and customer locations as required
  •  Must be able to adjust to schedules for evening and weekend training if required
  •  Possess a good understanding of all applicable provincial safety legislation
  •  Competent computer skills including proficiency with MS Office applications and abilityto operate audio/visual equipment
  • Current instructor certifications to enable instruction in the following curriculums;

    • HSE Integrated certificated courses;

      Confined Space Rescue

      High Angle Rescue

      Respiratory Protective Equipment (APR, SCBA, SABA)

      Gas Detection/Monitoring

      Leadership in OH&S for Management

      Accident Investigations

      Hazard Assessment

      Workplace Inspections

      Transportation of Dangerous Goods

      Defensive Driving

      Industrial Breathing Air Bottle Watch

      Injury Prevention

    • WHSCC certificated courses;

      Fall Protection

      Confined Space Entry

      OH&S Committee/WH&S Rep/WH&S Designate

      Power Line Hazards

      Traffic Control Person

    • Equipment Operator certificated courses;

    • Aerial Work Platforms (Scissor & Boom Lifts)

      Counter Balance Sit-down Lift Truck (Fork Lift)

      Telehandler (Zoom Boom)

      Narrow Aisle Warehouse Equipment

      Skid Steer Loader

    • OSSA certificated courses;

      Regional Orientation
