Responsibilities

  • Lead safety initiatives, conduct site safety inspections, ensure compliance with all company safety protocols, and train crews on safe work practices and industry standards.
  • Supervise field crews to ensure safe and efficient execution of daily tasks.
  • Direct, manage, and coordinate all aspects of project activities to achieve productivity and profitability goals.
  • Stage job sites by coordinating deliveries, materials, equipment, and crew scheduling—including communication with yard foremen and vendors.
  • Conduct and coordinate weld x-rays and quality checks in alignment with project specifications.
  • Maintain accurate jobsite documentation including labor hours, safety audits, milestones, equipment usage, and manpower planning.
  • Communicate daily with supervisors, engineers, clients, and inspectors to ensure smooth jobsite operations.
  • Monitor site performance and report progress to senior management.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct performance appraisals, enforce jobsite policies, and resolve crew-related issues.
  • Provide regular updates to Senior Management and clients, including weekly reports as needed.

Work Environment

  • Must maintain strict adherence to all safety procedures, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE), fall protection, and site-specific safety protocols
  • Frequent exposure to heights, loud noise, airborne particles, and outdoor elements (heat, cold, rain, wind)
  • Must be willing and able to travel extensively, with flexibility for non-traditional work hours including weekends
  • Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs independently (100 lbs with assistance), climbing, kneeling, and working in confined or awkward spaces
  • Ability to work safely in both hot and cold environments and in elevated positions

 

 
Position Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • OSHA 30 Certification, or ability to complete within 30 days of employment
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 7–10 years of experience in water tower construction and field operations
  • Strong leadership, communication, and time management skills
  • Experience with erection derricks, hoists, hydraulic pumps, and cable-strand jacking systems
  • NCCCO certification for telescopic boom cranes (TSS and TLL)
  • Proficiency in welding with SMAW (6010 and 7018) and FCAW processes
  • Ability to pass ASME Section IX weld tests in multiple positions
  • Skilled in weld inspection, defect identification, and use of cutting/gouging tools
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
  • Reliable transportation and a strong willingness to travel nationwide
