Fort Greene Council, Inc. (FGC) is a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit organization established in Brooklyn, New York, in 1973 and incorporated in 1974.  The Council strives to provide services at several life cycle stages, beginning with our early childhood programs and continuing with programs for our older adults.

FGC operates fourteen (16) dynamic and invigorating Older Adult Clubs in seven Brooklyn community districts and one (1) educationally advanced child education center, Young Minds UPK-4. 

Salary: $62,100

Maintaining STARS and Google Drive upgrades and improvements by supervising system programming.

Preparing and presenting system performance reports to senior managers.

Review calendars and ensure STARS activity is accounted for weekly.

Managing data cleanup, such as maintaining records, merging duplicate accounts, and monitoring various data points to ensure accurate record keeping.

Conduct training for all employees on Google Drive, STARS, and other databases.

Work closely with all Program Directors and Program Director Assistants regarding STARS upkeep and client records.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer analytics, or management information systems. At least 2 years of experience in database management.

Familiarity with Peerplace (STARS), Vive, and Google Drive is a plus.

 

 
Position Requirements

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, computer analytics or management information systems. At least 2 years of experience in database management. Professional certifications, such as Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) or Oracle MySQL is preferred.

-In 1990, we launched JAZZ 966 to promote jazz in the community for seniors and the public at large.
