Summary

The HR Generalist supports day-to-day human resources operations in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment with a strong focus on recruiting, onboarding, and employee support. This onsite role partners closely with production leadership to understand staffing needs, fill critical roles, and ensure a smooth and engaging onboarding experience for new hires. The HR Generalist is a key resource for all employees, helping to maintain a positive and productive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with company policies, benefits, and employment regulations.

This position is highly visible on the production floor and plays a critical role in supporting employee engagement, retention, and workforce stability.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manage talent acquisition and onboarding processes for production employees.
  • Serves as the HR help desk for production team members and leaders.
  • Assist with payroll processing.
  • Track attendance and create attendance status notices to employees. 
  • Maintain employee data, integrity, and confidentiality of Human Resource systems and files. p
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
  • Support safety program and record keeping as directed by HR leadership.  
  • Follow all ethical, HR, safety, and security policies and procedures, maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Compile data and creates reports for key HR metrics.
  • Support efforts to always improve the employee experience.   
  • Support HR leadership in developing and facilitating effective communications to all team members.
  • Plan, coordinate and implement activities that create an inclusive environment.
  • Support company events and celebrations through participation in team planning, sending invites, tracking attendees, coordinating with vendors and caterers.
  • Serve as backup for other team members as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.
 
Position Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bilingual: Ability to speak, read, and write in English and Spanish.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in an administrative or Human Resources role with similar responsibilities required; manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint) and Zoom with ability to learn new systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer first focus and able to calmly deescalate high stress or emotional situations.
  • Ability to use discretion, display sound judgment, and ensure confidentiality.
  • Ability to be flexible and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail oriented, strong time management and organization skills.
  • Ability to approach problem solving in a fact based, systematic manner.  
  • Able to work independently, plan ahead, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, move projects forward and meet deadlines.
