Email Opening Title Junior Software Engineer  Category Information Technology   Description Position Description: Junior Software Engineer The Jr. Software Engineer reports to the Sr. Software Engineer and is part of an agile development team building and maintaining Enterprise grade full-stack software systems. The Junior Software Engineer is involved in all areas of development from design, documentation, development, unit testing, to system integration. The successful candidate will be able to build high quality, innovative and fully performing software in compliance with coding standards and technical design. Responsibilities: Understand and represent PRITM 's mission, vision, and values to all internal and external customers Engage clients in appropriate communication that manages client expectations and builds a collaborative relationship with the client Interact with government and private sector clients, partners, and PRITM staff in a professional and accountable manner, and as a representative of PRI management Interact with project team members in order to successfully fulfill contract obligations with the highest quality and in a timely manner meeting PRITM 's ISO requirements Instills integrity throughout the organization via active participation in ISO requirements including but not limited to timely submission of Corrective Action Plans for all matters in which either PRITM standards and/or corporate contract standards have not been met. Communicating outcomes to team members to ensure a positive, open, environment which mitigates risk and achieves a culture of Continuous Quality Improvement Works effectively within an agile development team Utilizes software development and design methodologies in developing web application components such as creating UML diagrams (Flow charts, Class diagrams, ERD, and Use case diagrams) Perform unit testing of Classes, Methods, and UI functions Creates User manuals, Detailed Design Documents, Release documents, and effort estimate documents Present daily status reports outlining the breakdown and progress on assigned tasks. The Jr Software Engineer is required to work with minimal supervision while meeting required deliverables dates Perform a variety of responsibilities for the Help Desk Support and the Network Administrator duties as needed Required to attend daily sprint meetings Perform research and retrieve relevant data from multiple sources. Perform other duties as requested   Position Requirements Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology Two to four years of experience as a Jr. Software Engineer Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts Strong written and verbal communications skills Experience with Technical Documentation Understanding of relational database design and query concepts ­­ Adaptable to changing requirements Experience with the use of source control such as GitHub or Azure DevOps Microsoft .NET development using C# or VB Web development using MVC, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript Experience with React a plus Excellent organizational skills Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft environment Must have no conflict of interest (COI) as defined in 1154(b)(1) of the Social Security Act (SSA) Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Security Clearance Preference will be given to individual who reside in a recognized HUBZone area.
