Description

The purpose of the Behavioral Health Integration Therapist is to promote sound behavioral and mental health within the primary care medical setting as an integral aspect of wellness for patients at Northern Nevada HOPES.

The Integration Therapist promotes behavioral and mental health as an important dimension of overall wellness. The Behavioral Health Integration Therapist works in the medical clinic as part of the multidisciplinary treatment team including medical providers, case managers, nurses and Medical Assistants.  The Integration Therapist is the behavioral health expert on the team and conducts assessments, in-the-moment interventions, brief therapy, and referrals to additional services or specialty behavioral health as needed.

The Ryan White Behavioral Health Therapist promotes behavioral and mental health as an important dimension of overall wellness by providing high-quality individual, group, family or couples therapy to HOPES patients. This position conducts biopsychosocial assessments, diagnosis and treatment planning, and consults with other team members as part of a cohesive multidisciplinary team, in alignment with a harm-reduction approach.

Position Requirements

* Due to real and potential conflicts of interest that exist when HOPES Behavioral Health providers render services to their coworkers, it is HOPES’ policy (Policy HR0005) that HOPES employees may not access HOPES Behavioral Health Services. For the same reason, current Behavioral Health patients/clients cannot be employed by HOPES. Accordingly, you hereby acknowledge and understand that if you are receiving services from a HOPES Behavioral Health provider at the time you are offered and accept employment with HOPES, you have the option of rescinding your acceptance of employment or finding a new behavioral health provider outside of HOPES before starting employment with HOPES.

 

  • Completion of a Master's level program and licensure (eligibility) in the State of Nevada as an LCSW, LFMT or CPC required. 
  • Prior experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders required.
  • Therapeutic experience within the clinical setting required.
  • Valid BLS required prior to hire, per HRSA compliance.

Our one-stop-shop integrated care model helps us meet our patients where they're at and make medical and behavioral health care more accessible to medically under-resourced populations.

Services we offer include adult and pediatric primary care, chronic disease management, nutrition services, behavioral health counseling, substance use counseling and treatment, case management, on-site pharmacies, and more! We accept most insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid, and offer discounted services for uninsured patients, so anyone who needs care can access our services.

Salary Range $75,400 - $94,300 per annum
