Description

The Recovery Tech is part of the multi-disciplinary team, assisting clinical and nursing teams by monitoring clients' activities, observations', reporting and documenting. This position is also responsible for medication administration, and to maintain the milieu.

Recovery Tech's play an integral role, and are valued members of the team. Transformation House is hiring a Recovery Tech for our Anoka Women's Residential site, part time day shift.   The ideal candidate would work every other weekend and 1-2 weekdays.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):

  • Responsible to know and document how many clients are in or out of the facility and where they are at all times during shift.
  • Assisting clients with signing in and out of facility on approved passes.
  • Complete and document rounds-walkthroughs at minimum of every two hours. Every hour during visitation.
  • Complete admission and discharges including required documentation.
  • Perform Client Property Management duties, to include safekeeping and log recording of all client's personal belongings kept in temporary custody by the program.
  • Perform clients' urine drug screening by collecting specimens and breathalyzers at time of service initiation and when indicated by policy.
  • Assist with the administration and/or self-administration of medication to clients and document all activities in the electronic MAR
  • Report and document clients' health concerns to nursing staff.
  • Documentation using electronic medical records program (Procentive) to include client passes, third party communication, releases of information, observations of behavior, incidents, and all other relevant information related to clients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of facility including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, dusting,
  • Organize and oversee client chores
  • Complete shift reports
  • Transport clients as needed
  • Cook clients meals as needed
  • Apply de-escalation techniques
  • Attend all mandatory meetings
  • Complete all assigned trainings
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be free of problematic substance abuse for at least one year immediately preceding their hiring and sign a statement attesting to that fact.
  • Active Minnesota State Drivers License
  • Basic computer skills
  • CPR & First Aid certification (will certify if needed)
 
Pay Range $17-$19.50 DOE
