Email Opening Title RN/LPN  Description Job Summary: Provide professional nursing care to residents, following established policies, regulations, and standards of practice on an assigned unit, and assure resident safety. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Observe, evaluate and provide nursing care in accordance with physician orders and established plan of care to assure continuity and to meet the individual needs of the resident. Perform the functions of a licensed nurse including administration of medications and treatments. Manage time in an effort to minimize or eliminate overtime. Supervise CNA staff to ensure that facility policies and procedures are followed, and that all state and federal regulations are adhered to. Oversee CNA assignments, and supervise that duties and responsibilities are completed in a timely and efficient manner. Assist residents/families with concerns or issues they report. Assist with admissions/discharges to/from assigned unit, perform assessments/evaluations as necessary. Observe residents for changes in condition. Notify physician of any changes, incidents, injuries or any other unusual events that require attention and request orders as indicated. Document any change of condition, incidents, injuries or unusual event in the residents’ medical record. Take and transcribe physician orders in accordance with facility policies. Participate in and complete all required in-service educational programs and competency evaluations. Assist with monthly review of Physician orders.
