Share Email Opening Title Cultural Resources Monitor - Southern California  Description Cogstone Resource Management Inc. seeks reliable, responsible monitors to perform work in the San Diego and El Centro areas of California. Work is anticipated to consist of full time work for up to a year. Work may be up to 6 days per week, 10 hours days. Overtime will be paid. Locals are preferred. Knowledge of California prehistoric and historical archaeology is desired. Job Description Monitors are responsible to document project activities, monitor construction BMPs, identify cultural resources in the event of an unanticipated discovery, and ensure construction does not impact culturally sensitive areas. Ability to work well with construction crews and colleagues and to follow specific protocols is necessary. Previous monitoring experience is preferred but not required.     Position Requirements California experience BA in Anthropology or a closely related field. Ability to conduct field work for long hours, in possible inclement weather conditions and the ability to carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 40 pounds Applicant must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and their own vehicle The company prohibits any social media posting of work-related content and violation is a termination offense.
