IT Analyst 

Description Support day-to-day IT issues for business functions
-Take direction from Lead IT Systems Administrator and shift Manufacturing Operations Supervisor on IT support items
-Escalate critical IT system outages to enterprise IT management (crisis management
-Document chronological events of an IT system outage
-Provide hands-on support to desktop and laptop users as the on-site representative of corporate IT Support Services group
-Perform server and network maintenance and monitoring activities as the on-site representative of enterprise infrastructure group and its service providers
Provide Manufacturing Application software support
-Monitor broadcasts for errors. Correct errors or communicate with Customer IT or production group for resolution of errors
-Perform minor line station screen design changes (XML)
-Modify configuration tables or logic maps for line or product changes
-Correct data errors which sometimes occur with miscommunication between PLC and MES (SQL)
-Reset data and promote jobs in or out of stations due to operator errors or controls hardware failures (MES tools and SQL)
-Assist with data/configuration in MES for different types of engineering changes. These changes are often timed to synchronize with consumption of component inventory (MES tools)
-Modify build documents triggered by broadcasts for special builds such as prototypes, model year advanced builds, show car builds, etc. (Active Reports, XML)
-Create and run ad hoc management reports (SQL, Active Reports)
-Maintain and execute contingency systems in the event of a system or network failure
-Coordinate execution of periodic contingency system tests
-Perform MES population of data collected from contingency documents after coming out of contingency (MES tools and SQL)
-Participate in development of MES change/development requirements for major changes in concert with plant management, controls and manufacturing engineering and maintenance group
-Support training of new assembly operators, perform problem solving with engineers and maintenance staffs and on call (equipped with radios) support for line stoppages
-Swap out IT hardware and maintain spares-laser printers, barcode printers, barcodes scanners, PC workstations (includes configuration and RFID readers and antennae
Server Administration
-Monitor server
-Change back-up tapes
-Monitor UPS units and battery replacement
-Apply system patches and security updates during downtime
-Perform database monitoring, run archive and purge process during downtime and coordinate activities with corporate DBA resource
Network Administration
-Monitor LAN for performance slowdowns and local outages
-Work with Maintenance to move Ethernet data drops and perform punch downs
-Maintain network cabinets and UPS
End User Compute
-Provide local desktop support under direction of enterprise Support Services manageme  
Position Requirements The IT Systems Administrator will be skilled IT technician with broad, general IT knowledge. Candidates will be proven team members, able to communicate and work effectively with other site manufacturing operations team members and corporate IT resources. The candidate will be able to respond quickly and escalate appropriately in a fast-paced, high stress environment.
The successful candidate for this position will have the following qualifications:
-1or more years experience coordinating manufacturing IT services, project and /or operations
-3 or more years overall work experience
-Working knowledge and/or experience with the Systems Development Lifecycle
-Working knowledge of IT infrastructure services including Microsoft Windows server administration, network monitoring and database (SQL) reporting
-Working knowledge and/or experience in Automotive or Manufacturing industry
-Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving specific problems
-Proven team-worker
-Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously
-Good interpersonal skills
-Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
-Exceptionally self-motivated and directed
-Good analytical, evaluating and problem-solving abilities
-Service orientation
-Ability to function in a team-oriented, collaborative environment  
Education Requirement B.S. or B.A. degree in the field of computer science, business administration, engineering, or related discipline perferred
