Technical Material Specialist 

Description Manage both development projects and engineers in an advanced engineering role. This will include the development/optimization of materials for a variety of plastic processes. They will be responsible for conducting experiments to determine optimum product and processing parameters to achieve desired requirements. The expectation is that the engineer will provide a leadership role in the development of people and new technologies. This position also requires that the engineer provide a leadership role in mentoring and coaching the organization in the use of six sigma tools. Candidate must possess good computer skills, as well as good written and oral communication skills.  
Position Requirements Required:
PhD or MS in material or polymer science
Minimum of 15 years experience in injection molding, auxiliary equipment, tooling, processes, and materials.
Master black belt and/or robust engineering coach
Minimum of 5 years experience managing technical professionals
Project management skills - must be able to handle complex projects
Demonstarted ability to develop and implement technology strategies
Strong computer skills, as well as good written and oral communication
Industry experience in a wide range of analytical testing
Proven self starter - an absolute must in a development environment

Preferred:
Multiple product experience on vehicle interiors
R&D experience with examples of developments that have been commercialized
Expert in Design of Experiments
Demonstrated knowledge in electromechanical offerings
