Sr. Development Engineer 

Description Understand performance requirements of interior skin materials and comprehend OEM specifications for interior skin materials approvals.
Optimize in-house slush TPE material for casting, foam adhesion , and surface properties.
Responsible for conducting experiments to determine optimum processing parameters to achieve desired dimensions, mechanical properties, and part performance.
Provide timely oral and written communications to the colleagues, customers, and suppliers with frequent progress updates.
Actively participate with the professional societies for continuing and training.
 
Position Requirements Bachelor of Science in Engineering
Minimum 10 years experience in automotive plastics for use in vehicle interiors.
Project management skills - must be able to lead complex projects with multiple interfaces.
Proven self starter - an absolute must in a development environment.
Strong computer skills, as well as good written and oral communication skills.
Require travel to production plant in Mexico for engineering trials (one week every other month).
Preferred:
Knowledge of coatings and adhesives used for vehicle interiors.
Experience with Design of Experiments and statistical analysis methods.
