Title

Payroll Administrator 

Description Job Responsibilities Include:
Perform various audit reviews of payroll information
Investigate and resolve and payroll issues (hourly & salary)
Work with Finance on audit procedures & practices.
Review and approve payroll provider invoices
Run reports as required
Coach and work with payroll analyst in the plants
Gain a basic understanding of payroll processes in the other regions
Ensure that all audit procedures are adhered to and followed completely.
Work with Benefits Staff to resolve issues that affect payroll.
Provide semi-monthly for salary and weekly reports to Manager on payroll results.
Keep supervisor up to date on system and payroll issues
Maintain payroll records
Respond to auditors requests (external).
Keep all information confidential
Monitor compliance with audit and internal control requirements
Present recommendatins to management for process improvement or problem resolution
Draft payroll desk procedures.
Complete special projects as assigned

 
Position Requirements Qualifications:
Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, train, explain -- Required
Excellent communication skills -- Required
Ability to work with minimal supervision -- Required
High degree of comfort using payroll software -- Required
Strong organizational skills -- Required
Experience documenting desk procedures and departmental processes -- Required

Education:
Bachelors degree in accounting -- Required
At least 5 years of experience in corporate accounting or related experience -- Required
CPA - Preferred
