All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time and/or Part-Time   Shift Various Shifts   Location Pennswood Village   Description No experience required!  Full-time and part-time positions are available for Personal Care Assistants at Pennswood Village.  Med Tech training provided! Excellent staffing ratios!  Schedule an interview to see our beautiful community and meet our wonderful and caring staff.   $17.50/hr.     Full-time positions are offered: Single-only benefits cost $0 per pay!!  Benefits on the first day of the month following hire date - including health, dental, and vision benefits Fully-paid life insurance and short-term disability insurance Tuition reimbursement and educational assistance Retirement plan with 100% match on up to 6% of salary Twenty five days of all-inclusive paid time off per year   The Direct Care / Personal Care Assistant will function under the direction of the nurse-in-charge in the delivery of personal patient care to the residents in Personal Care.   Plan and complete patient care assignments, assist patients with all activities of daily living Maintain and ensure the personal rights of all patients through knowledge of and advocacy of the Patient Bill of Rights Establish safe and accurate working habits in the delivery of individual patient care Participate in ongoing education to extend knowledge and improve skills as required by DHS Participate in the individual patient plan of care as part of the interdisciplinary team Participate in the orientation of new staff members   Position Requirements A high school diploma or equivalent. Completion of DHS-approved medication administration training (this is provided by Pennswood Village and must be completed within the first 30 days of employment). Completion of the DHS 6-hour Direct Care training course (must be completed within the first week of employment) EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: No experience is required, we will train you. Must be able to read, write, and follow oral instructions. PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to bend, stretch, climb, kneel, reach, stoop and lift 20 pounds; transferring patients.
