ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains compliant with legal and federal procurement guidelines and ODCHC’s policies and procedures.
- Evaluates vendors based on price, reliability, capability, and previous transaction history.
- Receives packing slips from sites and verifies in purchasing software that products have been correctly received.
- Adds existing inventory items to site inventories as requested.
- Coordinates with managers to maintain inventory levels and to cover anticipated needs.
- Tracks orders and manages returns.
- Assures receiving’s are up to date and follows up with sites as needed.
- Helps train new site level purchasers.
- Assists with yearend inventories on site as needed.
- Provides back up departmental support as needed.
- Builds and maintains positive, long-term supplier relations.
- Other duties and responsibilities as designated by supervisor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
- Two years of experience in a similar role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.
SUPERVISION AND SUPPORT: The Purchasing Agent reports directly to the Purchasing Manager and is an integral member of the Facilities team.
