SUMMARY: Open Door Community Health Centers (ODCHC) provides high quality primary health care through a network of health center sites. The smooth operation, staffing, and overall management of the health center is an essential function of creating a quality experience for our diverse range of patients. Administrative Site Directors (ASDs) are responsible for the staffing, facilities, equipment, and internal systems necessary to provide maximum patient access to quality, cost-effective health services. The ASD ensures all systems comply with ODCHC policies and standards. The ASD works collaboratively with the health center leadership team to assure patient access and engagement in a welcoming and efficient environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures health center functions maximize health care resources and patient access to care.
  • Establishes operational goals and objectives for the site and its programs.
  • Works with Vice President of Operations (VPO) in ensuring the effective and efficient operations of the health center under the framework of the quintuple aim – population health, reduced costs, patient experience, care team wellbeing, and equity and inclusion.
  • Communicates regularly with VPO regarding significant developments at the health center.
  • Understands, follows, models, explains, and enforces ODCHC policies and procedures.
  • Ensures appropriate staffing for optimizing service delivery.
  • Exercises authority in recruitment, hiring, scheduling, supervision, evaluation, dismissal, and other personnel changes.
  • Ensures annual performance reviews for health center staff are completed in a timely manner.
  • Maintains robust communication among all health center staff; facilitates interdepartmental functioning.
  • Serves as a member of various site-specific and ODCHC teams and committees.
  • Implements approved programs, policies, and procedures at the health center.
  • Ensures compliance with all licensing and regulatory requirements.
  • Creates, promotes, and maintains a culture and environment of safety.
  • Oversees new staff orientation to promote competency and quality of care.
  • Leads site participation in quality improvement activities.
  • Manages change initiatives such as work restructuring, technological innovations, and shifts in the focus of care.
  • Works to understand, resolve, and mitigate patient and employee complaints in accordance with established ODCHC policies and procedures.
  • Effectively represent ODCHC’s interests in the community.
  • Reviews site operations data reports; resolve inaccuracies and communicate pertinent information to health center staff.
  • Contributes positively to the efficiency, accessibility, productivity, quality, safety, compassion, and professionalism of the work setting.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as identified and assigned by supervisor or deemed essential by Organizational Leadership.

  • Strong computer skills with specific aptitude in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Ability to collaborate with others while working with minimal supervision.
  • Adhere to ODCHC’s policies and procedures.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE:

  • Masters of Arts or Bachelors of Arts in Health Services Administration preferred.
  • Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in health care management.
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience considered.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Administrative Site Director is responsible for supervision of the Registered Nurse Clinic Manager (RNCM), the Office Manager, the Back Office Manager, the Care Team Manager, and other health center staff as needed. Supervision requirements include training and development, annual evaluation, performance improvement, and documenting and communicating disciplinary action.

 

SUPERVISION AND SUPPORT: The Administrative Site Director is supervised by the Vice President of Operations and an integral part of the health center leadership team.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This is largely an office-based position. The physical requirements described are representative of those needed to successfully perform the essential duties of the position.   • Ability to communicate via telephone, video, and/or in-person.

  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods of time.

Wage Range Hiring Range $32.85 to $39.00
