ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Faculty Lead will provide both clinical and administrative support to ODCHC’s APC Residency Program.
- In the absence of the APC Residency Program Director, the APC Faculty Lead will take over the program director’s essential duties and responsibilities until the program director returns.
- Deliver core components of the APC Residency curriculum to APC residents during the program year, including but not limited to orientation trainings, didactics, facilitation of case presentations, ad hoc trainings, and review and respond to weekly reflective journals, in collaboration with the program director and other faculty members.
- Contribute to strategic planning and development of the APC Residency materials, including curriculum and evaluation.
- Evaluate APC residents on a bi-annual basis during formal evaluation period.
- Precept/mentor APC residents at all sites during regularly scheduled precepted/continuity clinics.
- Provide support to both internal and remotely hosted APC Residency Preceptors through initial trainings and ongoing support.
- Participate in national conferences, speaking engagements, and virtual presentations to promote the movement of postgraduate APC training, when needed.
- Other duties and responsibilities as designated by supervisor.

- Knowledge of ODCHC’s mission, health care delivery and clinical support staff roles and responsibilities.
- Knowledge of ODCHC clinic operations, patient flow and documentation needs.
- Ability to exercise sound independent judgment within established guidelines.
- Ability to prepare routine reports, emails and other correspondence.
- Ability to read, analyze and present a range of materials, interpret instructions and guidance, and respond to questions about such materials.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to create a positive work environment.
- Ability to manage and motivate others in a team environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Ability to effectively represent ODCHC’s interests in the community and maintain effective working relationships among coworkers, public, private, and professional groups.
- Strong computer skills with specific aptitude in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Adheres to ODCHC’s policies and procedures.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Licenses in the state of California.
- Current Board Certification.
- Current DEA license.
- Current CPR.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
SUPERVISION AND SUPPORT: The APC Faculty Lead reports directly to the APC Residency Program Director and will participate on a variety of committees and teams.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This is largely an office-based position. The physical requirements described are representative of those needed to successfully perform the essential duties of the position.
