Receives IT requests from the Desktop Technician, and prioritizes and provides immediate support for straightforward problems.

Troubleshoots hardware and software issues, and performs software and hardware upgrades.

Performs hardware installation and installs PC’s, monitors, printers and PDAs.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
-
High school diploma or GED.
-
Knowledge of or experience with wide area network systems required.

Knowledge of or experience with network administration for multi-site networks required.

Knowledge of and experience with a wide variety of software applications, and ability to master new applications.
-
Experience in developing and implementing programs and protocols.

Speaking and hearing sufficient to communicate effectively by phone or in person, at normal volumes or above normal volumes.

Vision adequate to read correspondence, computer screen, forms, etc.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Ability to frequently stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Ability to reach above shoulder-level and frequently reach with hands and arms.

Ability to climb, balance, and negotiate stairs.

Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock.

Must posses a valid driver’s license and reliable means of transportation.
