ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, create, and maintain technical documentation that serves Open Door IT Department and internal users.
- Research and analyze software and write well-composed documentation that is aligned to define topic.
- Acquiring in-depth knowledge of Open Door current and future software solutions, and user needs.
- Develop high-quality user-facing content, customize setup guides, online help aids, product update bulletins, and email communications.
- Maintain and update user-facing content, user guides, test plans, and online help.
- Develop and maintain business process documentation, templates, and forms.
- Collaborate with technical teams and project leaders to identify content needs and move content through the review and approval process.
- Maintain and examine existing standards for customer-facing and internal content.
- Participate in the implementation of new technologies to improve content development, management, and delivery
- Attend staff and team meetings as needed.
- Performs other duties as identified and assigned by supervisor.

EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study.
- Two years of experience in a similar role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.
SUPERVISION AND SUPPORT: The Technical Writer reports directly to the Vice President of Information Technology.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This is largely an office-based position. The physical requirements described are representative of those needed to successfully perform the essential duties of the position.
