POSITION SUMMARY: The Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for managing and maintaining appropriate levels of physical inventory to ensure practice supply and demand needs are met.

REPORTS TO: Director of Purchasing

 

Position Requirements

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Review and approve/disapprove miscellaneous inventory orders from offices using good accounting methodology practices
  • Maintain thorough understanding of all vendor web portals
  • Maintain acceptable and accurate inventory levels at both the office locations and the Central Purchasing warehousing facility
  • Report inventory shortages/overages to ensure continued operations and avoid inventory fulfillment issues
  • Responsible for classifying, labeling, and warehousing all miscellaneous inventory for future use
  • Accurate record keeping of miscellaneous inventory levels and location for easy retrieval. This is critical in keeping the department organized and efficient.
  • Responsible for communicating with all department managers on inventory stocking levels
  • Maintain a record of all transfers and disposals. This inventory professional must implement and follow a control system to reduce damage, breakage, and inventory obsolescence.
  • Reconcile inventory records for a complete and accurate count. Proper and accurate inventory policies help deter theft and inventory misuse.
  • Assist Director of Purchasing on other projects as directed

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High school graduate, or equivalent
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word & Excel preferred
