Share Email Opening Title Professional Water Resources Engineer  Description Position Description: Alliant Engineering, Inc., is looking to add a skilled Professional Water Resources Engineer to our Minneapolis based Transportation Group. As a successful applicant, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic project team environment and be responsible for drainage design and coordination with other disciplines. What you will do:- Design complex highway drainage systems, erosion and sediment pollution control plans, storm water management facilities, and coordinate regulatory agency permitting- Research and develop roadway drainage design concepts; perform calculations and evaluations for comparative drainage solutions; and document findings and recommendations.- Coordinate project assignments with other engineers and technicians on a multi-discipline team. Preferred qualifications:- Knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HydroCAD, P8, SLAMM, and SWMM).- Demonstrated experience and strong proficiencies with Microstation and GEOPAK Drainage- Experience working with highway (County and/or DOT) design standards   Exempt/Non-Exempt Exempt   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Open Date 12/7/2017   Number of Openings 1   Location Minneapolis, Minnesota   EOE Statement We are an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
