Maintains plants records to QS or TS quality standards. Oversee lab, WWT, process control (SPC) and material suppliers. Work with customers to resolve concerns, evaluating performance data and works with production to proactively implement necessary changes.

Maintenance Technician (Waterloo, IA - Plant 24)

The Maintenace Technician supports the achievement of plant metrics by ensuring preventative maintenance and repairs are completed in a timely manner. The Tech will be required to work with a variety of equipment and be familiar with PLC, hydraulics, electricity, pumps, and HVAC.

Essential Functions Include:

Directs and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in production to insure goals are met.

Plans and establishes work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to achieve production goals.

Calculates labor and materials requirements to achieve goals and implements.

Confers with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances. Facilitate coaching/feedback to team members and complete performance evaluations. Initiate corrective action procedures.

Confers with other line leaders and management to coordinate operations and activities within lines or between lines.

Reads and analyzes charts, work orders, or production schedules to determine production requirements.

Recommends /or implements measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, line efficiency, and safety.

Requisitions materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services and maintain accurate inventory of materials and supplies.

Inspects materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.

Demonstrates equipment operations or work procedures to new employees or assigns employees to experience workers for training; completes OJT of new or transferred employees within 30 days of assignment.

Monitors gauges, equipment, and other indicators to ensure operators conform to production process card and quality standards.

Monitors and inspects work area and enforces all safety regulations and 5(s) guidelines. Completes all safety paperwork in a timely manner.

Working knowledge of TS 16949.

Assure compliance with MetoKote Corporation policies and procedures, including health and safety, quality, productivity, inventory control, and personal conduct; maintain a personal image that projects MetoKote’s commitment to dignity, integrity, and personal growth.

Other duties as assigned.

The Line Leader provides for the safe and productive operation of a specific line(s) through leadership, coaching, and training of team members. Troubling shooting operations with employees on the floor - through leadership and training; by leading by example, coaching the employees, giving the line techs the knowledge and skills requires to do their job through continuous training, sharing information with employees, and disciplining employees as needed. Process administration- overseas the line production and schedule, tracks and administers the needed completion of daily activities, handles scheduling and shipping of parts, ensures product quality, and discuses improvement with employees on the floor. Administration activities � processing daily production records, fills out labor report, completes customers schedules, processes line equipment check sheets, processes daily housekeeping paperwork, processes inventory, and data entry of various reports. Other functions - such as accountability, dealing with customers, loading, unloading, 5�s given directions, and so forth.
