&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;The responsibility of the institution&apos;s Audit and Compliance Director includes the oversight of regulatory compliance activities incident to the workings of each department within the bank. This individual also directs the financial, operational, branch, regulatory compliance and information system audits for management and the Board of Directors to assess the effectiveness of controls, the accuracy of financial records, and the efficiency of operations by performing the following duties:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;
&lt;p&gt;ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Directs and coordinates audit work.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Supervises staff as to completion of audit field work and completion of audit reports assigned to staff members. Reviews work papers and reports submitted by staff members. Reviews data regarding material assets, net worth, liabilities, capital stock, surplus, income, and expenditures.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Discusses results of audits with the manager/director in charge of operation under audit.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Reviews reports of findings and recommendations with management, and the Audit Committee.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Makes recommendations regarding improving operations and financial position of company.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Follow-up on outstanding audit findings with department management, and present items to the Audit Committee.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Conducts special studies for management such as those required to discover mechanics of detected fraud and to develop controls for fraud prevention.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Works with federal regulatory agencies to assist with regulatory examinations.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Supervises Compliance Officer, including work product review, help with planning and organizing reviews, and coaching on any compliance issues necessary.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Works with external auditors/examiners and CPA firms.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Establishes and maintains client relationships.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Work with department heads to periodically review the bank&apos;s policies and procedures to ensure compliance with appropriate federal and state laws and regulations;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Analyzes applicant financial status, credit, and property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan or submits application to credit analyst for verification and recommendation.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Corresponds with or interviews applicant or creditors to resolve questions regarding application information.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Compiles loan package and facilitates negotiation with applicant according to establishment standards, including fees, loan repayment options, and other credit terms. Submits loan within specified limits or refers loan to loan committee for approval.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Ensures loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Assures timely loan closing and funding activities. Identifies and analyzes potential loan markets to develop prospects.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Advises loan manager of external factors that may affect establishment lending policies, such as new or revised legislation and regulations.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Recommends and implements appropriate changes to establishment policies and procedures.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Promotes and cross-sells other establishment products and services as appropriate to customer requirements.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Provides loan data to support marketing and sales promotion programs.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Other duties may be assigned.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
