Responsibilities: 1. Integral part of the loan origination process. Responsible for performing underwriting analysis of borrower's character, credit worthiness, and financial condition. 2. Support lending function by providing analytical support to regional lending teams. 3. Analyzes financial statements and related material to prepare written credit analysis of individual borrowers. Prepares or assists in the preparation of approval memorandums for presentation to appropriate lending and credit authorities. Develops credit information for use by senior credit personnel, lenders, or credit officers in lending decisions on new loans, renewals, and extensions. 4. Conduct and present industry research. 5. Interact with customers, accountants and attorneys at direction of relationship manager to perform analysis. 6. Investigate all available sources of credit and financial information, including reporting services, credit bureaus, and agencies. 7. Specific portfolio analysis at direction of section manager or credit officer. 8. Support for account managers for existing borrowers’ activities, assisting with call preparation and reporting. 9. Prepares summaries, presents facts and occasionally offers opinions concerning credit -worthiness. 10. Ensures that all credit files include current financial statements, agency reports, call reports, investigations, etc. are organized and up to date. 11. In close contact with borrowers in order to obtain, analyze and understand documentation presented by the borrower. 12. When appropriate, review and analyze property financial information to determine actual income, expenses and projected debt service coverage. 13. Review credit reports, appraisals, environmental reports, title reports and loan documents for collateral property. 14. Responsible along with manager for continuing education and development.
