Position Purpose:
Responsible for effectively and efficiently increasing banquet food, beverage, and meeting room income by soliciting new catering accounts, entertaining and maintaining relationships with existing accounts. Oversees client catering functions to ensure customer satisfaction and that PCM's high standards are maintained.

Experience:
Experience in Food and Beverage and Sales experience required. Booking corporate & social events.

The Sheraton Eatontown is seeking an approachable and experienced Food and Beverage Director. In this role, you will be an executive team member who will plan and direct a seasoned team in the administration and planning of the Food and Beverage Department to meet the daily needs of the operation.

Aproachability, friendliness, F&B know-how and working well in a team environment is a must.

Clearly describe, assign and delegate responsibility and authority for the operation of the various food and beverage subdepartments, e.g. room service, restaurants, banquets, kitchens, stewards, etc.

Work closely with the Executive Chef and the Sales team in the creation of attractive and merchandising menus designed to attract a predetermined customer market.

Maintain and implement effective control of food, beverage and labor costs among all sub-departments.

Assist the area managers in establishing and achieving predetermined profit objectives and desire standards of quality food, service, cleanliness, merchandising and promotion.

Develop (with the aid of subdepartment heads) operating tools necessary and incidental to modern management principles, e.g. budgeting, forecasting purchase specifications, recipes, portion specifications, menu abstracts, food production control, job descriptions, etc.

Continuously evaluate the performance and encourage improvement of the personnel in the food and beverage department. Plan and administer training and development within the department which will provide well trained associates at all levels and permit advancement for those persons qualified and interested in career development.
