   <description>&lt;p&gt;Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), an internationally recognized presenter of contemporary performing arts and cinema, seeks a part-time &lt;em&gt;Digital Content Administrator&lt;/em&gt; to manage BAM.org content creation and changes on BAM&amp;rsquo;s Webby Award-winning site as well as ancillary sites such as DanceMotionUSA.org.    <title><![CDATA[Director of Capital Projects (construction) (Brooklyn Academy of Music, Fort Greene)]]></title>
   <description>&lt;p&gt;Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), an internationally recognized presenter of contemporary performing arts and cinema, seeks a full-time &lt;em&gt;Director of Capital Projects&lt;/em&gt; to oversee BAM&amp;rsquo;s Capital Projects Department and manage BAM&amp;rsquo;s $60 million capital portfolio including $11 million in infrastructure projects and a $49 million new development projects. The Director of Capital Projects will report to the CFO &amp;amp; Vice President of Finance and Administration.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;Responsibilities:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Prepare and review bid packages, construction schedules, design documents, change orders, punch-lists, registration documents, requisitions, and closeouts.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Deliver projects on time and within budget.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Notify building and keep people informed on what is happening and what is planned.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Manage smaller institutional capital expense projects as needed.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Work with the various city agencies, including but not limited to, the Department of Cultural Affairs, Department of Design and Construction, Economic Development Corporation, Office of Management and Budget, Mayor&amp;rsquo;s Office of Capital Projects, Downtown Brooklyn Partnership, Landmarks Commission, Arts Commission, Department of Parks and Recreation, etc.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Oversee construction and ensure that on-site contractors are behaving properly and safely &lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Identify future scope items and develop long-term capital projects planning.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Ensure that projects abide by local law and any other legislation governing construction&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Obtain proper work orders and sign offs from various city agencies, such as Department of Buildings, Metropolitan Transit Authority, Con Edison, etc.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Stay abreast of local construction projects /developments and serve as liaison for BAM as needed&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Represent BAM at town hall meetings, community board meetings and similar functions.&lt;/li&gt;

   <title><![CDATA[BAM Spring 2010 Internship Program (January-June 2010) (Brooklyn Academy of Music, Fort Greene)]]></title>
