Embedded Energy Manager

Responsible for analyzing current energy usage and developing the Company's energy management plan in order to provide proper environmental conditions with cost effective energy utilization. The Energy Manager will be responsible for the Company's energy tracking computer system in order to achieve this purpose.


  1. Provides a database and an energy tracking and monitoring system for each Facility/process that captures current monthly energy consumption and an electrical load inventory of major equipment.
  2. Reviews existing energy study reports and performs a high-level assessment, which includes a walk through audit of each major process area of each site, to identify energy saving opportunities and to identify which systems will require more detailed evaluations.
  3. Reviews and provides a description of the control systems, operating schedules, and maintenance practices at each Facility/process to identify operational savings.  Develops maintenance practices and programs to enhance energy efficiency.
  4. Identifies, assesses, prioritizes and recommends to senior management energy-saving opportunity projects including both capital improvement projects and operational and maintenance changes.
  5. Coordinates the implementation of energy-saving projects, including the planning, budgeting, and scheduling for the design, installation, commissioning, and verification of energy efficiency projects.
  6. Works with project participants to develop a strategy for the Measurement and Verification of energy-saving projects at a corporate level.
  7. Creates and fosters a sustainable energy management culture at the facilities to provide and avenue for employees to recognize and report issues and ideas regarding energy conservation and efficiency.
  8. Implements an employee training and awareness program to promote energy conservation and communicate the energy efficiency initiatives undertaken.
  9. Coordinates and assists with site inspections.
  10. Completes quarterly reports.
  11. Responsible for special projects as assigned.
