Share Email Opening Title Director of Infrastructure   Description   Head of Infrastructure Architecture and Engineering                                                     Primary Responsibilities: Direct and control the activities of a broad functional area to include overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, Infrastructure Strategies/Direction and managing expense priorities. Continually review/define/modify the Infrastructure Strategies and Standards, get BU CIO input on needed capabilities and continually socialize the plan across our technology leaders Strategy, Standards  and Technology Road Maps across all Infrastructure platforms Web & Intranet Systems Solution Engineering & Design for Business and Hosting needs Enterprise Standardization across all Infrastructure platforms Responsible for Architecture & Engineering, client solution Engineering and Design, define the strategy for Infrastructure enablers to drive business capabilities, improve operational efficiency, satisfy regulatory compliance requirements Oversees all aspects of the Infrastructure systems and platforms life cycle (dedicated, virtual & cloud ) Lead Standardization throughout the Enterprise and obtain buy-in from Business Unit CIOs. Accountable for leading teams responsible for Architecture and design of new Infrastructure Domains & systems or modifications to existing Infrastructure systems. This includes creation of new Infrastructure platforms and systems, functionality enhancements to existing platforms, and capability/efficiency improvements to existing systems   Additional Key Responsibilities: Identify opportunities to expand Infrastructure Solutions and capabilities provided to all business units as well as to our clients Make timely decisions in situations of uncertainty that are in accordance with the company’s long-term IT and business strategy Ensure that division/department plans and activities are consistent with and support broader corporate objectives, as well as the Solutions and services provided by other entities Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the Industry available solutions Regularly interact with executives and/or major customers.  Interactions frequently involve special skills, such as negotiating with customers or management or attempting to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization Create long-term shareholder value through the recruitment, management, and development of our human capital   Technical Skill Requirements:  B.S. Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent 10+ years’ experience leading Architecture and Engineering teams responsible for designing and implementing Enterprise Infrastructure that include all domains (compute platforms-mainframe and open systems, storage, virtualization/cloud, hosting-PAAS/IAAS) Demonstrated experience in leading teams responsible for selecting, designing, implementing technology products across all domains of Infrastructure Extensive experience in Architecture, Engineering of solutions supporting large scale Enterprise Infrastructure Demonstrated experience developing Technology Strategy and Standardization across the enterprise Strong knowledge in technology Infrastructure evolution across the industry, top product/solution producers/vendors     Position Requirements   Open Date 2/9/2015   Location Kansas City     EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
